Disclosure Policy

Here at T-Shirt Review Blog and in other sites and mediums, I review t-shirts from various t-shirt companies. Sometimes, these are shirts that I find while browsing various t-shirt websites, and sometimes they’re t-shirts that are suggested to me by t-shirt companies or by you, the audience. Sometimes, t-shirt companies send me t-shirts or other items for me to review in person.

In all of the above situations, I review t-shirts honestly and without bias. If I think a t-shirt is great, I will say so. If I think a t-shirt sucks, I will say so. You, my audience, deserve my honesty and that’s important to me.

My opinion is not for sale, and t-shirt companies sending product or submitting products for review understand this. I do not write about a company’s products if they insist on a positive-only review. That doesn’t fly in my book, and it shouldn’t in yours.

When a t-shirt company physically sends me a shirt to review instead of a link, I guarantee them that I will cover it in a video review. This does not guarantee a positive review. If I am sent a crappy shirt, I’m going to tell you it sucks and why. I guarantee coverage for shirts sent to me as an incentive to t-shirt companies to send me shirts instead of links.

Why do I do this? Well of course, I get free t-shirts, and that’s pretty cool. But in all reality, I can offer better quality reviews to you, the audience, when I have a shirt in front of me. While a picture is worth a thousand words, it cannot compare to being able to tell you how the fabric and the ink feel and how the shirt handles a wash cycle.

This site also uses affiliate links wherever possible. An affiliate link identifies me or T-Shirt Review Blog as your referrer or source when you buy a shirt that I’ve written about after clicking on my link. This allows me to generate income to sustain myself and this website by receiving credit for referring customers to t-shirt companies. You’re going to buy a t-shirt if you like it, whether I sent you or not. The t-shirt company just agrees to share a portion of their profit with me as a way of saying “thanks for sending Jessica/Bill/Bob/Insert Your Name Here to us. We appreciate it!” It’s not a backroom, underhanded deal. Just a way to make a living.

That said, I’d like to reiterate that no product will receive a better review just because it’s an affiliate’s product. I don’t work that way. My opinions not for sale, and I’d rather warn you about a bad shirt or company and have you trust me for that than make a quick buck off of you and have you never trust me again.

The same goes for advertisements. I offer ads for sale and I position affiliate ads on the site as a way to generate income. The ads don’t influence what or how well shirts get reviewed. Just understand that I am paid when you do click on one of them or buy a shirt.
