A recent trip to the Mall yielded this Metallica tee from Hot Topic for $15. I’ve been a Metallica fan for years, and it’s refreshing to see a tee that’s a little lighter than the Pushead-style skulls and whatnot. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got my fair-share of classic Metallica tees, but this is a pleasant change of pace.
Whiskey in the Jar is of course a Thin Lizzy cover Metallica did in the late 90′s with their Garage, Inc. album. I believe it was an old Irish drinking song to begin with. Anyways, I think it does well for a one-color, almost text-based design. I wore it to a Hurt concert the night this photo was taken, and I’m actually wearing it as I write this. It’s a very comfortable tee, and it’ll be making my regular rotation.
