It’s finally not Monday anymore…though I would argue that it certainly feels like it! It’s still as rainy and dreary here as ever…I’d definitely be alright with the sun coming out to play. Anytime now. Really.

How could this one not top the list this week? This is a thoroughly exhaustive list of Lost-related t-shirts put together by tee-blogger extraordinaire, Coty Gonzales. As the series draws to a close, there’s no reason to not work your way through this list, if only to marvel at its size and sheer amount of work that went into compiling it. Bravo!

Novel-T Team Jerseys – Andy @ Hide Your Arms
Andy wrote about these interesting shirts from Novel-T. They depict various American authors and literary figures as members of a softball team. Each shirt features a name and number on the back and a representative image on the front from a book by that author (or containing that character).

While I zipped around Novel-T’s site I found a few that I liked more than the Vonnegut shirt Andy picked out. I think the idea is truly very clever and I wouldn’t mind wearing Gatsby or Darwin honestly.

Andy does point out that their website is their weak point, and as much as I hate to admit it, it could use some work. There’s nothing wrong with it visually or functionally, but the usability definitely needs some TLC. That said, I’d love to see these shirts get the stage they deserve.

Ghostbusters Glow in the Dark Tee – Ollie @ Cottonable
Ollie pointed out this clever t-shirt that makes you look like Venkman right after he got slimed. Again. The design is solid and the use of glow in the dark ink is what takes this shirt from “eh, that’s kinda clever” to “duuuude, check that out.”

I really want to re-watch Ghostbusters now, it’s been forever. Time for a Bill Murray fix.

Thread Notes T-Shirt Newsletter – Shameless Self Promotion

The Big Fifth Eye (Troundup.com)

Colin over at Troundup wrote about this eye-catching (oh man! cheesy pun of the day!) t-shirt from the folks at Resist Today. There’s so much weird in this shirt, you can’t look away. It’s like a train wreck….but a good train wreck. I can’t say that I know what it means or what it’s supposed to say, but that’s alright. The detail is great and the shirt is unique!

Andy at Hide Your Arms posted this interesting tee from 57Thirtythree the other day. The one color design reminds me a little bit of Toxic from Van Rockn. The placement is unique and it reminds me of Planet of the Apes. Charlton Heston FTW!

Protect The Skin You’re In (Fat Seagull)

What can I say about this…naked women on t-shirts. It’s done fairly tastefully. Well, tastefully in a not cartoon-barbie redneck-trash sort of way, anyways. Prominent celebrities and fashion icons adorn this line of tees, and all proceeds go towards cancer research. The shirt seems to only be available offline from Marc Jacobs stores for $35.

The Struggle (Coty Gonzales)

How cool is this tee?! I really like the powerful message of perseverance. It’s a very iconic design I think. It’s almost like our hero needs to reach the other side of the wall at any cost and without regard for what may await him.

There have been a bunch of pretty schweet tees brought to my attention lately, so here’s a handful of them plus some extra stuff that cropped up around the shirtosphere in the last week.

Fantastic Bonanza designed the t-shirt for ROFLCon 2008 and had a booth set up. They’ve got some neat photos and a rundown of the conference. Well done!

Andy at Hide Your Arms posted a couple items that caught my eye. The first is a t-shirt giveaway at tenbills.com. Spend $30, tell them your favorite animal in the comments section and get a free t-shirt with your order. Supplies are limited, so check them out.

Hide Your Arms also featured a tee called Gasmasks from We Are Industry that sort of reminds me of Toxic by VanRockn (review, t-shirt). By remind, I mean they both have people in gasmasks. Pretty cool t-shirt.

Shirtlog posted another cool tee with a message. Vince Lombardi would be proud of this one.

Karl at tcritic posted some photos from Mission Indie Mart. That’s some t-shirt related goodness for sure. Check it out.

TeeLovers posted about another Helvetica shirt. You can check out the Graniph Helvetica shirt I wrote about a while back to compare. I’m starting to wonder how long before there’s a store full of nothing but typography tees!

tshirtreview.com (again, not to be confused with this site) posted a little rant about some of the latest tees at Threadless. I do have to admit I didn’t see anything too remarkable on the shirts he mentioned, but the people have spoken I suppose.

I Love Your T-shirt wrote about a few clothing lines that caught my eye. Their post on Ucon Acrobatics has some awesome photos to promote their new threads. I’m not terribly interested in the clothes themselves, but the pictures are definitely worth seeing. Here’s a taste:

I Love Your T-shirt also dropped a post yesterday about a new label called Bloodgold. They’ve got a handful of pretty neat designs, worth looking into.

T-Shirt Island posted about Urban Humanity, a nature-themed clothing label. Before you go all tree-hugger on me, check them out. They’ve actually got some pretty interesting designs that snagged my attention.

The Daily Tee featured this really neat shirt using text to build an image. It’s a pun, you remember “We Built This City (On Rock and Roll)” don’t you? There are the names of a bunch of classic rock and metal bands, and I think it’s executed well.

Aris at addic[tee]d posted up a neat tee called The Ghost Ship

The Fat Seagull drew my attention to a t-shirt with a photo of a space monkey. Photos on t-shirts don’t usually look very good, but this one pulls it off. It’s new from N. Hoolywood.

Hide Your Arms dropped a post about Tasty Tees. They’ve got a really unique business model for a t-shirt company. Everything is limited edition and only available for sale for a certain period of time. Be sure to catch their current design by the 25th.

With all the awesome weather we’ve been having around here lately, I’m definitely in the mood for a tee with a message like the one Sjors posted on Shirtlog a few days ago.

Alex at The T-shirt Blog (not to be confused with this site) posted a string of PETA related shirts, taking both sides of what is always a dividing topic. I think animals taste great, so here are a few tees that made me smile. Nothing new design-wise though, oldies but goodies.

Yesterday, Karl at tcritic highlighted a new service from CNN where you can have select headlines printed on a tee. The shirts are printed at Spreadshirt, but it’s definitely a neat idea. Like he said, I’m TOTALLY waiting for The Onion to do something like this.

Colin at Troundup tipped me off to a 24 hour sale at BustedTees and a big DBH T-shirt giveaway from Gearcrave. More to come on the BustedTees sale tomorrow.
