<p>Alright folks, here&#8217;s another edition of T-Shirt Link Tuesday, where I pull some of my favorite t-shirt related goodies from the last week or so. I&#8217;ve come across some real gems from some genuinely good people that I want to share with you. The t-shirt community continues to amaze me with how much comraderie and good will there is going all around, so let&#8217;s get to it!</p>
<h2>Lady Umbrella&#8217;s 5,000 Fan Video</h2>
<p>You might have come across Lady Umbrella before. They&#8217;ve been making waves when it comes to shirts for women and they&#8217;ve been active with social media. Well, they&#8217;ve been busy promoting their Facebook fan page, and since August they&#8217;ve been able to make it to 5,000 fans. To celebrate they&#8217;re giving away 2 free t-shirts, how cool is that? That&#8217;s not all though. </p>
<p>As they approached 5,000 they made a cool video for their fans to thank them for their support. That&#8217;s what&#8217;s really got me geeked, because I don&#8217;t think enough people stop and thank those that support them as often as it should happen. So if you get a minute, pop over to Lady Umbrella&#8217;s Facebook fan page and take a look at the video Rob and Elena put together.</p>
<p><H3><a href="http://www.facebook.com/ladyumbrella" target="_blank">Lady Umbrella&#8217;s Facebook fan page</a></H3></p>
<h2>Evolution and Atheism Tees @ Hide Your Arms</h2>
<p>Andy put together a neat list of Atheism and evolution-based t-shirts for his blog, Hide Your Arms. While it&#8217;s a touchy subject for some people, the simple fact is that nobody can make a joke out of a serious topic like t-shirt designers. There are a ton of clever shirts there that I never would have come across, most of which are laugh-out-loud funny.</p>
<p>Even if evolution&#8217;s not your thing, you can tell Andy put a lot of work into making the list complete, so it&#8217;s definitely worth a gander or two. Have a sense of humor and check out the list at Hide Your Arms.</p>
<h3><a href="http://hideyourarms.com/2010/05/24/evolution-tshirts/" target="_blank">Evolution and Atheism Tees @ Hide Your Arms</a></h3>
<h2>The Making of a T-Shirt at Fat Seagull</h2>
<p>I came across an interesting post at Fat Seagull just this morning featuring a video made by <a href="http://winnerscircleseattle.com" target="_blank">Winner&#8217;s Circle</a> of Seattle. The video follows the birth of a t-shirt, tracing the process from the first time pencil goes to paper through the purchase of the shirt in a retail store. It&#8217;s a quick video that shows you just how much work goes into each and every tee you wear. </p>
<p><H3><a href="http://www.fatseagull.com/2010/05/16/video-treat-club-present-the-making-of-a-t-shirt/" target="_blank">The Making of a T-Shirt at Fat Seagull</a></H3></p>
<h2>Don&#8217;t Panic and Carry A Towel at Tcritic</h2>
<p>Karl celebrated <a href="http://www.towelday.org" target="_blank">Towel Day</a> by posting a neat parody of the WWII-era posters seen in England that featured the phrase &#8220;Keep Calm and Carry On.&#8221; While I&#8217;ve seen a number of parodies of those posters make the leap to a t-shirt, I thought this one was particularly fitting to honor the life and work of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Adams" target="_blank">Douglas Adams</a>. So pull out the Hitchhiker&#8217;s Guide to the Galaxy if you&#8217;ve got it and check out this shirt featured on Tcritic.</p>

<p>Fantastic Bonanza designed the <a href="http://blog.fantasticbonanza.com/2008/04/28/fantastic-bonanza-at-roflcon-2008/" target="_blank">t-shirt for ROFLCon 2008</a> and had a booth set up. They&#8217;ve got some neat photos and a rundown of the conference. Well done!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://blog.fantasticbonanza.com/2008/04/28/fantastic-bonanza-at-roflcon-2008/" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-180" title="Fantastic Bonanza" src="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/roflcon.jpg" alt="Fantastic Bonanza" width="500" height="375" /></a></p>
<p>Andy at <a href="http://www.hideyourarms.com" target="_blank">Hide Your Arms</a> posted a couple items that caught my eye. The first is <a href="http://hideyourarms.com/2008/04/28/tenbills-free-limited-edition-t-shirt-with-purchase-while-supplies-last/" target="_blank">a t-shirt giveaway</a> at <a href="http://www.tenbills.com" target="_blank">tenbills.com</a>. Spend $30, tell them your favorite animal in the comments section and get a free t-shirt with your order. Supplies are limited, so check them out.</p>
<p>Hide Your Arms also <a href="http://hideyourarms.com/2008/04/28/gasmasks-by-we-are-industry/" target="_blank">featured a tee called Gasmasks</a> from <a href="http://www.weareindustry.org/apparel/" target="_blank">We Are Industry</a> that sort of reminds me of <a href="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/go/toxic.php" target="_blank">Toxic by VanRockn</a> (<a href="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/2008/03/24/toxic-at-vanrockn/" target="_self">review</a>, <a href="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/go/toxic.php" target="_blank">t-shirt</a>). By remind, I mean they both have people in gasmasks. Pretty cool t-shirt.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://hideyourarms.com/2008/04/28/gasmasks-by-we-are-industry/" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-181" title="Gasmasks" src="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/gasmask-full-375.jpg" alt="Gasmasks" width="375" height="577" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.shirtlog.com" target="_blank">Shirtlog</a> posted <a href="http://www.shirtlog.com/2008/04/616/" target="_blank">another cool tee</a> with a message. Vince Lombardi would be proud of this one.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.shirtlog.com/2008/04/616" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-182" title="The Harder I Work" src="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/the_harder_1.jpg" alt="The Harder I Work" width="320" height="250" /></a></p>
<p>Karl at tcritic posted <a href="http://tcritic.com/archives/broke-ass-stuart-and-mission-indie-mart/" target="_blank">some photos from Mission Indie Mart</a>. That&#8217;s some t-shirt related goodness for sure. Check it out.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.teelovers.net" target="_blank">TeeLovers</a> posted about another <a href="http://teelovers.blogs.sapo.pt/26809.html" target="_blank">Helvetica shirt</a>. You can check out the Graniph <a href="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/2008/02/06/helvetica/" target="_self">Helvetica shirt</a> I wrote about a while back to compare. I&#8217;m starting to wonder how long before there&#8217;s a store full of nothing but typography tees!</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://teelovers.blogs.sapo.pt/26809.html" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-183" title="Helvetica Tank" src="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/helvet.jpg" alt="Helvetica Tank" width="325" height="322" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.tshirtreview.com" target="_blank">tshirtreview.com</a> (again, not to be confused with this site) posted <a href="http://www.tshirtreview.com/?p=414" target="_blank">a little rant</a> about some of the latest tees at Threadless. I do have to admit I didn&#8217;t see anything too remarkable on the shirts he mentioned, but the people have spoken I suppose.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.iloveyourtshirt.com" target="_blank">I Love Your T-shirt</a> wrote about a few clothing lines that caught my eye. <a href="http://www.iloveyourtshirt.com/?p=1104" target="_blank">Their post on Ucon Acrobatics</a> has some awesome photos to promote their new threads. I&#8217;m not terribly interested in the clothes themselves, but the pictures are definitely worth seeing. Here&#8217;s a taste:</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.iloveyourtshirt.com/?p=1104" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-184" title="Ucon Acrobatics" src="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/ucon.jpg" alt="Ucon Acrobatics" width="260" height="364" /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.iloveyourtshirt.com" target="_blank">I Love Your T-shirt</a> also <a href="http://www.iloveyourtshirt.com/?p=1097" target="_blank">dropped a post yesterday about a new label</a> called Bloodgold. They&#8217;ve got a handful of pretty neat designs, worth looking into.</p>
<p><a href="http://tshirtisland.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">T-Shirt Island</a> <a href="http://tshirtisland.blogspot.com/2008/04/urban-humanity-nature-inspired.html" target="_blank">posted about Urban Humanity</a>, a nature-themed clothing label. Before you go all tree-hugger on me, check them out. They&#8217;ve actually got some pretty interesting designs that snagged my attention.</p>
<p>The Daily Tee featured <a href="http://www.thedailytee.com/we-built-this-city-on-rock-and-roll/" target="_blank">this really neat shirt</a> using text to build an image. It&#8217;s a pun, you remember &#8220;We Built This City (On Rock and Roll)&#8221; don&#8217;t you? There are the names of a bunch of classic rock and metal bands, and I think it&#8217;s executed well.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://www.thedailytee.com/we-built-this-city-on-rock-and-roll/" target="_blank"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-185" title="We Built This City" src="http://www.tshirtreviewblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/det_collect_citybuilt1.jpg" alt="We Built This City" width="500" height="308" /></a></p>
<p>That&#8217;s all for this week big list o&#8217; links, enjoy!</p>

<p>This is something I&#8217;d like to start doing weekly here, just to keep you posted on some of the other things going on in the t-shirt world. I don&#8217;t know if it&#8217;ll be Tuesday still when this post goes live, but it&#8217;s still Tuesday as I write this, so here we go.</p>
<p>Aris at <a href="http://addicteed.com/" target="_blank">addic[tee]d</a> posted up a neat tee called <a title="The Ghost Ship" href="http://addicteed.com/2008/04/19/the-ghost-ship-by-sven-palmowski/" target="_blank">The Ghost Ship</a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.fatseagull.com" target="_blank">The Fat Seagull</a> drew my attention to <a href="http://www.fatseagull.com/2008/04/22/n-hoolywood-2008-springsummer-after-sputnik-collection/" target="_blank">a t-shirt with a photo of a space monkey</a>. Photos on t-shirts don&#8217;t usually look very good, but this one pulls it off. It&#8217;s new from N. Hoolywood.</p>
<p><a href="http://hideyourarms.com/" target="_blank">Hide Your Arms</a> dropped <a href="http://hideyourarms.com/2008/04/22/marie-by-lisa-corbett-tasty-tees/" target="_blank">a post about Tasty Tees</a>. They&#8217;ve got a really unique business model for a t-shirt company. Everything is limited edition and only available for sale for a certain period of time. Be sure to catch their current design by the 25th.</p>
<p>With all the awesome weather we&#8217;ve been having around here lately, I&#8217;m definitely in the mood for <a href="http://www.shirtlog.com/2008/04/get-outside-take-a-walk/" target="_blank">a tee with a message</a> like the one Sjors posted on <a href="http://www.shirtlog.com" target="_blank">Shirtlog</a> a few days ago.</p>
<p>Alex at <a href="http://www.thetshirtblog.com/" target="_blank">The T-shirt Blog</a> (not to be confused with this site) posted a string of PETA related shirts, taking both sides of what is always a dividing topic. I think animals taste great, so <a href="http://www.thetshirtblog.com/t-shirts-that-kill/" target="_blank">here are a few tees that made me smile</a>. Nothing new design-wise though, oldies but goodies.</p>
<p>Yesterday, Karl at <a href="http://www.tcritic.com" target="_blank">tcritic</a> highlighted a new service from CNN where you can have <a href="http://tcritic.com/archives/cnn-shirt-on-demand-t-shirts-with-headlines-powered-by-spreadshirt/" target="_blank">select headlines printed on a tee</a>. The shirts are printed at Spreadshirt, but it&#8217;s definitely a neat idea. Like he said, I&#8217;m TOTALLY waiting for The Onion to do something like this.</p>
<p>Colin at <a href="http://www.troundup.com" target="_blank">Troundup</a> tipped me off to <a href="http://www.troundup.com/2008/22/huge-sale-at-busted-tees/" target="_blank">a 24 hour sale at BustedTees</a> and a<a href="http://www.troundup.com/2008/22/gearcrave-giving-away-25-dbh-shirts/" target="_blank"> big DBH T-shirt giveaway from Gearcrave</a>. More to come on the BustedTees sale tomorrow.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s all for now, otherwise it won&#8217;t be Tuesday anymore!</p>
